EXTERIOR IMPROVEMENTS AND OUTDOOR LEARNING CLASSROOM

Location: Franklin-McKinley School District

Project Description: This 50 year old school was in dire need of exterior upgrades. The focus on this site was to allow students to use the outside space as an option for outdoor classroom functions. Wi-Fi was enhanced to the outdoors spaces, shade structures and standing exterior tables were implemented for the teacher to teach with few distractions. This site is unique in the way that one of the play structures is shared with the neighboring charter school. The front of the school was in much needed repair. Sugimura Finney Architects designed subtle but powerful enhancements to give this school curb appeal.
