Project Description: The Educare Learning Center is a state-of-the-art school that serves at-risk children from birth to five years of age. The Educare’s mission is that family involvement strengthens parents’ abilities to serve as champions for their children’s learning from infancy through their primary and secondary school educations. As part of the nationwide Bounce Learning Network, Franklin McKinley Educare Learning Center is the first school of its kind in the state and it will serve as an example where public and private dollars can create social miracle for disadvantaged communities. The services offered in the center will include classrooms, toddler rooms, a parent resource center, offices, conferences, staff recreational areas, a multiuse room and a kitchen. The project is under design. Its budget is $17 million budget and plans to be completed in 2013.
